Bacardi Lion has this week (Apr 12-16) announced the appointment of Martin Newell as the new Victorian and Tasmanian brand ambassador.

His appointment follows on from the promotion of former brand ambassador Damian Kaehler to Victoria and Tasmania field sales manager.

Joining Sydney-based brand ambassadors Loy Catada and Jeremy Shipley, along with Brisbane-based Sean Forsyth, Newell will work to promote the Bacardi brands in the southern Australian states.

Bacardi national on-premise manager Paul Broadbent said Newell fit in well with the Bacardi brands and values.

“At Bacardi Lion we have great brands with great stories to tell around their heritage and provenance,” he said. “Marty is well-placed to tell these stories, with his experience in the Asian and UK markets adding a fresh perspective and a new dimension to the team.”

Newell’s experience in the industry spans seven years and three continents, including a role as 42 Below vodka brand ambassador in the UK, one of Bacardi Lion’s leading brands.
