Bacardi has this week announced the launch of Bacardi Spiced into Australia.

The launch comes amidst an increasing global demand for flavoured rums, and is the first spiced blend in the brand’s growing portfolio available in the country.

Made with gold rum aged in charred American Oak barrels, Bacardi Spiced is blended with natural flavours and spices to create a liquid that is bold yet smooth with a hint of smokiness. The recommended serve for these distinct flavours is with a classic mixer like cola or ginger ale, or even neat poured over ice. Bacardi says it also works well in spiced versions of classic cocktails like the Mojito or Pina Colada.

Staying true to the brand’s value for authenticity, Bacardi Spiced doesn’t have any artificial sweeteners that impact the rich spice flavours. Considering the practice of mixing rum with fruit and spices is almost as old as Caribbean rum itself, Bacardi said it made perfect sense to introduce a spiced product, and that it was exactly what consumers were looking for.

Bacardi Spiced is crafted by the Maestros de Ron, who shape all the products in the brand’s portfolio using sight, taste and smell to maintain quality to Bacardi’s standards. The Maestros are carefully chosen and trained from seven generations of rum-making expertise.

Sarah Nichols, Marketing Director at Bacardi-Martini Australia, said: “Introducing a spiced blend to our Bacardi trademark was a natural decision as consumers have shown tremendous demand for it.

“We’re confident Bacardi Spiced will satisfy the taste buds of long-time spiced rum drinkers as well as converting some new fans with its unique combination of spices and flavours.”

Bacardi Spiced is available now with a RRP of $48 through Bacardi-Martini Australia.
