After numerous attempts to crack the tough shell of the Australian gaming industry, international manufacturer Bally Technologies has announced the release of its first game in this country – the Alpha 2 Pro.

The first machines have been approved in New South Wales, and Bally has plans to move into Victoria and Queensland within the next year.

The machine initially comes in two game offerings with four more to follow before August, and supports new and existing game libraries.

The Alpha 2 Pro is a state-of-the-art platform with an all-digital cabinet, optimized for dual-screen and multi-games.

It features HD video technology, 3D graphics and four-speaker HD surround sound, for the ultimate player experience.

Bally are one of the leaders in ‘systems’ networks in the USA, and these machines come network and server-based ready for intelligent monitoring and reward programs.

This development by a big American player may signal the start of the impending revolution in player monitoring and direct marketing.

“Bally’s thrilled to be placing our newly approved Alpha 2 Platform and specially developed NSW game range in Pro Series cabinets into licensed gaming venues throughout the state,” said Bally Technologies spokesperson, Ron Jeffrey.
