BWS was “ahead of the curve” last year in selecting what turned out to be a hit single to accompany its Today’s Special campaign, says Woolworths Liquor Group managing director Brad Banducci.

The American Authors single ‘Best Day of My Life’ went Platinum on the Australian music charts last year, after being signed to the BWS campaign in late 2013.

Featuring all the hallmarks of the catchiest TVC jingles, Best Day of My Life has also soundtracked commercials by US home improvement retailer Lowe’s, Telecom New Zealand, Hyundai in Europe and Nissan Motor Indonesia, among others.

“Excitement is now building within the team ahead of plans to activate ‘Today’s Special’ at a local store level,” Banducci told TheShout.

The Woolworths Liquor boss said BWS’s advertising also stood out in 2014 with successful activations across several sporting codes.
