Registrations are now open for the Leukaemia Foundation’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year campaign for 2015.

Now in its seventh year, U.G.L.Y. (‘Understanding. Generous. Likeable. You’) has raised $6 million over the past six years, receiving praise from venue managers, owners and operators for the high engagement with patrons through events and activities.

To be involved, venues are encouraged to nominate their most “outgoing and charismatic” bartender to be the face of the U.G.L.Y. campaign by registering them online.

Registered bartenders will receive an U.G.L.Y. kit with materials to theme the venue and subsequent fundraisers. The tailored merchandise will help to boost fundraising and dress up events.

To incentivise the campaign, the 2015 U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year is offering guaranteed prizes for bartenders. These include Uberbartool Kits for those who raise over $1000; $500 worth of JB Hi-Fi gift cards for those who raise over $5000; and U.G.L.Y. VIP Cruise Boarding Passes for those raising over $10,000.

The highest fundraisers in every state will take home a $3000 travel voucher, while their venue will receive either a Hoshizaki Ice Machine, or Lancer Beverage System products and services, to the value of $7500.

The prizes are provided thanks to sponsors and partners, including Handpicked Wines, Uberbartools, and Hoshizaki Lancer.

The Queensland campaign runs from August 1 to September 14, while the rest of the country will follow from October 1 to November 16.
