The Bavarian Hospitality Group (BHG) will expand its Bavarian Bier Café brand with a new venue to open at Bondi beach on Wednesday (Jul 1).

The latest addition brings the total number of cafes to six with the existing Parramatta venue also opening a family-friendly bier garden that will increase its capacity to 700.

BHG managing director John Szangolies said the new Bondi venue would be able to host 176 patrons.

“Our Bavarian Bier Cafés have definitely captured Sydney’s taste for great bier, great food and a really good time,” he said. “The Bavarian Bier Cafés are tracking well and are ahead of last year, which in these economic times is a great story for the hospitality industry.”

To support this expansion, BHG will launch a new experiential marketing campaign by creative agency Mentally Friendly, that will encompass outdoor, online and print executions and will roll out over the next five months.

With the tagline ‘Bavarians have more fun’, the campaign will be fronted by Bavarian Klaus von Krum, an ambassador for the Bavarian Bier Cafés.
