Beam Global Spirits & Wine has triumphed at the recent San Francisco World Spirits Competition, winning the highly coveted ‘Double Gold’ award for Ardmore Single Malt, Laphroaig 10 Year Old Single Malt, Baker’s, Booker’s and Jim Beam Black bourbons, and Courvoisier Cognac VS.

In addition, Laphroaig 10 Year Old Single Malt, Laphroaig Single Malt Scotch, Laphroaig 25 Year Old Single Malt, Basil Hayden’s bourbon, Courvoisier Cognac VSOP and Jim Beam White all won ‘Gold’.

Beam Global Australia marketing director James Sykes said he was “thrilled” with the results. “Our brands continue to stand out in competitions across the world and it’s great we can bring these top-notch spirits to the Australian market,” he said.

Founded in 2000, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition is held annually and receives more than 800 entries from across the globe.

Judging is based on blind taste tests and the 2009 panel included cocktail great Dale DeGroff and Esquire Magazine spirits writer, David Wondrich.
