Craft brewer, Burleigh Brewing, has launched a limited edition beer, My Wife’s Bitter, in time for Father’s Day.

Filtered through local lava rock, My Wife’s Bitter is Burleigh Brewing’s coastal interpretation of a classic English Bitter, with roasted maltiness, a soft caramel character and dense, aromatic foam.

Inspiration was abundant for this latest brew from the award-winning Gold Coast brewery, with brew master, Brennan Fielding, upholding tradition by developing a beer named after his wife and CEO of the company, Peta Fielding.

Fielding is quite happy to put her name to this new brew, which is sure to get some tongues wagging.

“At our first brewery, we named two of our first beers after our children, Daisy and Skagen,” she said. “So, in keeping with tradition I was next, and I am pleased, although slightly dubious that I’ve provided the inspiration needed to develop this delicious, classic, bitter.”

My Wife’s Bitter comes packaged in collectible screen-printed, long-neck bottles, and only 400 cases will be made available. ABV is 4.8 percent.

In addition to My Wife’s Bitter, Burleigh Brewing product suite includes Bighead, Australia’s first no-carb beer, the highly-popular ‘Duke’ Range which is available throughout South East Queensland and northern New South Wales and The Hef – Burleigh Hefeweizen, an unfiltered wheat beer which is available nationally.
