Better Beer has moved to address concerns after an entire production runs of its Better Beer Zero Carb cans were printed upside down.
In a statement about the issue, Better Beer’s CEO and Co-founder, Nick Cogger, has told the trade – and consumers – that while the cans are upside down, the beer inside is not impacted in any way.
Cogger said: “It was brought to our attention on February 1, 2025 that some consumers were purchasing 355ml cans of Better Beer Zero Carb in Australia and finding the cans had been printed upside down.
“We at first believed it was an isolated case, affecting only a few cartons, however upon investigation we’ve learnt an entire production of 70,000 cartons has been affected.
“We can assure consumers that the liquid has not been affected in any way – if anyone has any of the upside down can stock, the beer was freshly brewed in January.
“Thank you for your continued support of our independently owned Australian beer brand. We’re hopeful this stock will disappear from the market within the next couple of weeks, and we can soon resume regular programming, the right way up.”
