A new range of quality mixers, Midnight Mixers, is being released this October by Bibendum Bar, the craft spirit arm of Bibendum Wine Co.
As well as offering five distinct products designed to partner naturally with fine spirits, the team is also looking to set the standard for responsible sourcing, production, packaging and distribution.
Bibendum’s owner Robert Walters spoke of the motivation behind the project, and said: “At Bibendum we’ve always looked to innovate and to help progress our market. So when we saw an opportunity to create a range of world class, local made craft mixers, quite distinct from anything else that was available, we didn’t hesitate. We’re really proud of the launch range and it’s only the first step. There some really exciting products still to come.”
The Midnight Mixers launch range includes:
- Classic Tonic Water: a bright, zesty, Indian tonic water, crafted using lemon and blood orange essences and natural quinine.
- Extra Dry Tonic Water: a pared-back version of the Classic Dry Tonic, crafted with natural quinine, lemon and blood orange essences, with natural fruit sugars only.
- Bitter Lemon Tonic: an old-school bitter lemon with the tang of fresh lemon juice and natural quinine for added zip.
- Ginger Beer: a riff on an old school brewed ginger beer, made with natural ginger.
- Soda Water: a classic soda made of pure Australian spring water with a perfectly balanced pH level.
In creating the Midnight Mixers range, the Bibendum Bar team took careful measures to minimize the impact of the brand on the environment as much as possible. This commitment includes eschewing imported glass bottles, packaging the mixers in infinitely recyclable, locally manufactured aluminium cans, and cartons made from 100 per cent recycled material.
General Manager of Bibendum Bar, Georgina Wright, heralds the brand’s launch as a new standard in mixers.
“Having worked with producers from all over the globe in the wine, spirit and mixer categories, we’re well-versed to understand exactly what’s missing. We wanted to create something that filled a need both in venues and at the premium end of the at-home mixer segment,” Georgina said.
“Our mixers are of a quality that will hit the mark for our customers, the flavours are exceptional, rounded and robust and designed to compete with the ever-growing craft spirit movement.”
The Midnight Mixers range is priced at LUC $39.50 (24x 200ml cans)
