Bundaberg Rum’s Master Distillers’ Collection (MDC) continues on its path of premiumisation following the launch of Bundaberg MDC Small Batch Rum.

Aged with the richest of Bundaberg’s rum reserves and matured in cognac and brandy barrels, only 30,000 bottles will be produced each batch.

The bottle itself is as distinctive as the rum, with the design taking its cues from the original and iconic Bundaberg rum bottle blended with the elegant style of the MDC bottle.

“The MDC range now leads the super-premium rum category, and we’re delighted to bolster this position with the introduction of a permanent product in the range,” said Bundaberg Distilling Co. chairman, David Halliday.

“At the Bundaberg Distilling Co. we celebrate a proud history of producing top notch, single estate rums. Bundaberg MDC Small Batch Rum is truly a world class liquid, and we hope it will continue this tradition and generate strong returns for our customers, while driving more rum fans to the home of Bundaberg Rum in the future,” Halliday continued.

According to Halliday, the launch will be supported by a trade advocacy program, which is designed to ignite interest in Bundaberg Rum from key influencers in the on-premise through Bundaberg MDC Small Batch Rum.

First launched in mid-June at the Bundaberg Distilling Co. Bondstore, Bundaberg MDC Small Batch Rum is now available at both national and independent retailers with an RRP of $64.99.
