Leading Polish vodka brand, Å»ubrówka, has appointed Spirits Platform to manage its distribution in Australia.

The move sees Spirits Platform take over from Beam Suntory and Coca-Cola Amatil from 1 February 2017.

Ian Atherton, CEO of Spirits Platform said: “Å»ubrówka, will make an impressive addition to Spirits Platform’s portfolio and we are delighted to have the opportunity to build on its loyal following in Australia.”

With a history spanning 500 years, Å»ubrówka has a unique taste derived from the herbal scented bison grass harvested in eastern Poland. Å»ubrówka Bison Grass Vodka is currently enjoying strong sales of four million cases per year across 40 countries.

Grant Winterton, Global CEO Roust Group, owner of the Å»ubrówka brand said: “We look forward to working with Spirits Platform to further build awareness with both consumers and trade.

“Spirits Platform’s commitment and experience with supporting premium spirits brands gives us great confidence for Å»ubrówka’s continuing growth in this market.”

The change does not affect Russian Standard Vodka, Roust Group’s other major vodka brand, which will remain within the Beam Suntory portfolio, distributed in Australia exclusively by Coca-Cola Amatil.
