Sydney’s first dedicated Bloody Mary spot has opened with the launch of Bloody Mary’s bar and diner.

With a menu that is all about its namesake cocktail, Bloody Mary’s also features American diner-style cuisine – Spam burgers anyone? – along with some pretty serious garnishes. The menu features the Bloody Caesar – a Clamato juice Bloody Mary served with cos lettuce, a prawn and bacon – as well as the Bloody Hell – a chilli infused vodka version served with a prawn, a slider and a buffalo wing.

The bar team are into pushing the boundaries of their chosen medium, and the varied menu features ten different Bloody Mary variations, each with its own unique twist. And the spirit selection isn’t limited either with gin, tequila, dark rum and vodka all featuring on the list.

Bloody Mary’s is the creation of Cinta Rockey, a Bloody Mary fanatic who says she has been waiting for the perfect moment to bring her idea to life.

“I started experimenting by making my own tomato juice, with months spent tweaking the recipe in my home kitchen I am now 100 per cent happy,” she says. “I know this sets us apart from other places.”

Rockey also has an interest in interior design, working the space to create a Hamptons inspired fit out, including a leafy courtyard area.

The bar slash diner is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with the full cocktail menu available around the clock. In case visitors need prompting, the staff recommend pairing the Hangover Cure breakfast with a Classic Bloody Mary, while lunch is time for a Bloody Mary’s Beef Burger and a Bloody Caesar, while dinner guests can ramp up their night with the New York Strip steak and a Bloody Pirate (which features Pampero Dark Rum).
