Two men in balaclavas entered the bottle shop on Denman Parade, Normanhurst, with one of the men armed with a rifle.

They confronted the two male staff members, both aged in their early 20’s, and forced one of the men to the ground.

The second employee was ordered to empty the contents of the till and cigarettes into a bag.

He was then struck in the back of the head with the firearm, causing a laceration, and ordered into a back room.

The other employee was also then placed in the room.

The men then left scene in a small red vehicle.

The man with the firearm is described as 165cm tall, wearing a black balaclava, a black t-shirt, black three quarter length pants, and black gloves.

The other man is described as wearing a black balaclava, a grey hooded jumper, dark pants, black gloves, and he was carrying a black carry bag.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Hornsby detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
