The Craft Beer Industry Association (CBIA) has announced the resignation of Brad Rogers from his positions as chair and director of the association.

Rogers has resigned due to the increasing demands of running the existing Stone & Wood brewery while constructing its new Murwillumbah facility and being a husband and father of four.

Mountain Goat Beer co-founder Dave Bonighton, the current CBIA treasurer, has been elected by the remaining CBIA board members as interim chair.

“On behalf of the board of the CBIA I’d like to thank Brad for his service,” Bonighton said.

“Brad was one of the driving forces in the creation of the CBIA and his leadership in our formative years was very important.”

“He leaves the association in great condition and the work we are putting in to projects such as the 2014 Australian Craft Brewers Conference and the whatiscraftbeer website continues apace,” Bonighton said.

The board will now engage in a process to reallocate the office holder positions and to recruit a replacement casual director who will remain on the board until the next annual general meeting as per the CBIA constitution.
