The passionate and dedicated team at one of Sydney’s up-and-coming pub breweries has taken five medals at the craft beer-dominated Royal Adelaide Beer Show.

The Australian Hotel & Brewery in Rouse Hill has won medals at every competition it has entered, but the RABS saw it take home gold for its new AB Steam Ale in a Draught Ale category.

The staple AB Pale Ale earned silver as an Australian Draught, and the popular AB Dark took silver in the hotly contested dark-style lager category.

The new specialty AB Vanila Mild grabbed silver in the low-alcohol category for its 3.5 per cent ABV English-style darker ale made with the addition of fresh Mexican vanilla beans.

AB Mexican Lager rounded out the haul with a bronze in the highly competitive category of International Draught Lager.

"At the Australian Brewery we are proud to be on the forefront of the expanding craft brewing industry in Australia.

"And it is good to know that Australia’s best judges of beer love our brews as much as we do," said owner and operator, Marcello Colosimo.

The show was dominated by boutique breweries, which took the bulk of the ten trophies on offer.
