Palais Imports has been announced as the Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia distributor for Bridge Road Brewers, of Beechworth, Victoria.

Bridge Road founder Ben Kraus told TheShout the new arrangement aims to provide better service to the brewer's existing interstate customers as well as better reach.

"We're already selling to a limited number of customers in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, but it was more on the back of them having to contact us and request our beer," he said.

"We didn't really have the resource to follow up with them regularly and service them properly."

Kraus said Bridge Road has continued to grow its volumes at about 30 per cent year-on-year since its launch in 2004.

Palais Imports said Bridge Road has established itself as one of Australia's leading craft breweries.

"We have long been fans of Ben's full flavoured ales and feel privileged to be representing his brewery."

Palais also announced it will soon begin importing AMA Bionda, a new line of Italian beers brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy.
