Fourth Wall is the latest addition to the Brisbane bar scene, opening its doors late last month with two of the city’s hospitality industry veterans at the helm.

After years of helping open, operate and run numerous Brisbane establishments, owners Stevie Waite and Chris Denman, decided it was time to open the type of bar they would both want to drink in.

"Imagine if you dropped a bar into the middle of your living room and invited a bunch of your friends around. Our main demographic is the late 20s to mid 30s professionals who are after a relaxed environment, great service and some stellar products," Denman said.

"We have been amazed the response we have received from the hospitality community as well as the general public. It’s nice to know that you can dream big and people will enjoy what you have created."

Although new legislation changes allow the venue to hold up to 100 people, the bar prefers to cap numbers at 60 people, to ensure the comfort of its patrons.

The name of the venue stems from the fact that its entire front wall is made of glass, which according to Denman is one of the standout features of the venue, allowing guests to watch the world go by with a drink in their hand.

"You can watch outside from within, or inside from without, but either way it feels like you are watching a performance that is removed from reality."

The beer and wine menu, though limited, is ever changing, and the back bar carries a well-balanced selection of spirits. And while there are plenty of cocktails on offer, the bar does not limit itself to a list.

"We prefer to run a bespoke menu, where our bartenders’ imaginations are the limit and the customer always gets exactly what they want,"  Denman said.
