The Gold Coast’s Burleigh Brewing Company is holding a beer appreciation and tasting session on Monday night as part of the Taste of Gold Coast festival.

The QLD brewery, which celebrated its first birthday this month, is holding the Tastes of Gold Coast Tanks, Tales and Tastings Beer Appreciation Session at just $10 a head.

Participants will receive an educational session from brewmaster Brennan Fielding, sample the brewery’s range of four beers and a souvenir glass to keep.

It adds to the Burleigh Brewing’s regular Brewhouse Bash, complete with beers and gourmet German sausages, held on the first Friday of every month.

Burleigh Brewing Company is now releasing the fourth beer in its range — the Burleigh Hefeweisen, a German wheat beer launched last week in Brisbane.

CEO Peta Fielding said the response to the new beer had been incredible and they would be distributing it interstate.

Also in the portfolio, the Duke European-Style Premium Lager, Duke Pale Ale and Duke Mid-Strength Premium Lager are distributed from Coffs Harbour to Hervey Bay. “Duke is very much a regional brand,” Fielding said.
