Boutique wineries are being encouraged to enter the Australian and New Zealand 2010 Boutique Wine Packaging Awards, which will be presented at a gala dinner in August.

The awards are open to small, independently-owned wineries who crush no more than 500 tonnes under its own label each year. The awards encompass six different categories including Best White Wine, Best Red Wine, Best Sparkling and Best Dessert Wine.

The awards also include two major awards, one of which focuses on branding across a range of sales support, from the wine label itself to brochures, twin-packs and letterhead, and another award which examines environmentally-friendly packaging concepts.

Entries to the awards close on Friday, June 11. All entries will then be submitted to an expert judging panel led by Lisa McGuigan before a gala presentation dinner on Friday, August 13 at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel.
