Campari Australia will officially take over the sales and distribution of Wild Turkey Bourbon from tomorrow (July 1).

The acquisition of Wild Turkey from Pernod Ricard Australia was a major factor in Campari’s decision to set up operations in Australia, which saw it take over a number of other brands from its Australian distributors when the company launched on April 1.

Campari Australia marketing director, Brad Timbrell, told TheShout that the Campari sales force is raring to go.

“Campari Australia is delighted to be taking over sales and distribution of Wild Turkey Bourbon from tomorrow. Wild Turkey Bourbon will make a great addition to our portfolio, along side of SKYY, Riccadonna, Campari, Aperol, Ouzo12 and Cinzano, and we’ve some great plans in place to take it to new heights this year and beyond,” said Timbrell.

“We also take this opportunity to sincerely thank all team at Pernod Ricard for their continuous support given to the Wild Turkey brand to date. Our sales teams are now in the trade, ready to talk Turkey so contact your local sales office or Campari head office for more information.”

Campari Australia is also searching for a brand manager to assist with the development and implementation of key brand and marketing activities for Wild Turkey, such as developing POS material, coordinating advertising, PR and trade marketing promotions, and sales and market analysis.

The ideal candidate would have more than three years marketing experience, preferably as a brand manager, and possess strong communication skills along with a high level of motivation and energy.
