Carlton Dry is gearing up for the second round of the popular ‘Thank God it’s Monday’ industry nights, with band Miami Horror scheduled to play at Sydney’s Kit and Kaboodle tonight (24 Jan).
Launched in December last year, the industry nights are a series of free concerts designed to reward hospitality workers who tend to have to work on normal weekend nights, missing out on regular gigs.
A national initiative, these free events will be held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth throughout January and February, featuring groups Miami Horror, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Bluejuice and Bag Raiders.
“Carlton Dry is bringing the industry night back to Monday night,” said Carlton Dry group marketing manager, Vincent Ruiu. “Working the weekend shift in a bar can be a frustrating scenario. While all your mates get to head out and enjoy the best gigs and club nights, you’re busy working. When Monday finally rolls around and you have a night off there’s nothing on.”
‘We have enlisted some really exciting artists for Thank God It’s Monday, to ensure those working weekends are rewarded for their hard work and can experience great bands and DJs on their time off too,” he added.
To RSVP for the events, hospitality workers simply need to register on their dedicated Facebook page.
