Carlton Draught has concluded its Massive Meat Wheel promotion with a lucky Victorian taking home $100,000 and a meat tray after a spin of the giant London Eye Ferris wheel.

Sixteen finalists were flown to London and asked to take Aussie pub meat wheel tradition to a whole new level with Jodie Hill from Colac Victoria in the winning capsule as the wheel, billed as ‘the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel’, slowed down.

The finale of the Carlton Draught promotion played out on Channel Nine's AFL Footy Show last night.

Winner Jodie Hill with Shane Crawford from the AFL Footy Show, flanked by Carlton Draught representatives Alastair McCausland and Shencina Formenton.

"It's not often an Aussie goes to London and comes back with more money in their pocket,” quipped Hill.

“It was pretty exciting towering over London's skyline and waiting as the wheel slowly spun. When they told me I was the winner my partner and I were literally jumping with joy in the capsule.”

The 39 year-old was confirmed as a finalist in the Massive Meat Wheel promotion after she entered by purchasing a specially marked carton of Carlton Draught from Woolworths Liquor in Colac.

“The Carlton Draught Massive Meat Wheel takes a classic Aussie tradition, slows it down and makes it huge,” said Carlton Group marketing manage Vincent Ruiu.

Carlton Draught partnered with Jac Wagyu, one of Australia’s premium Wagyu Beef farms, to create the meat tray.

The tray features specially developed beef, reared on the quality hops and malted barley used to brew Carlton Draught.

To produce the limited edition Carlton Draught Wagyu Beef, the brand enlisted the assistance of Australian farmer and Jac Wagyu owner, Jason Lewis, to rear twenty head of cattle on a special feeding program, providing the herd with ten tonnes of malted barley and two tonnes of natural hops.

“Carlton Draught and pub meat trays are both classic Aussie traditions,” said Ruiu. “The only way we could make this better was to combine Australia’s favourite draught beer with Australia’s finest meat trays.”
