The Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) announced that as of this week, Casella Family Brands has become an international supporter, with Casella looking forward to working with IMW towards greater inclusivity, understanding and collaboration in the wine industry.

Casella joins IMW’s 36 supporters and four research and industry associates, including the five principal supporters: Austrian Wine, AXA Millésimes, Champagne Bollinger, Constellation Brands and VSPT Wine Group.

Julian Gore-Booth, Executive Director of the IMW, spoke positively of Casella’s support.

“The Institute is delighted to welcome Casella Family Brands as a supporter. As we deepen our connections and share knowledge around the globe, we look forward to exploring a range of initiatives with Casella,” he said.

IMW’s supporters help to boost efforts to promote excellence, interaction and learning across all sectors of the global wine community. This is undertaken by IMW’s members, the Masters of Wine, a highly qualified group of winemakers, sommeliers, buyers, journalists, shippers, consultants, viticulturalists, academics, educators and other professionals. Currently, there are 416 Masters of Wine working in 31 countries, and 357 students from 40 countries are undertaking the 2023-24 Masters of Wine study programme.

Libby Nutt, General Manager of Marketing and Export Sales at Casella, said that the company is excited to work with the IMW.

“Casella Family Brands is delighted to join the supporter network of the IMW. With a portfolio of outstanding Australian wines and iconic brands, we’re excited to work alongside IMW in its mission to promote excellence, interaction and learning to ensure our global wine industry continues to flourish. We look forward to collaborating with the IMW to deliver programs that support the Masters of Wine community and its students in strengthening their understanding of Australian winemaking excellence and wine brand development,” she said.
