The official launch of Cazadores tequila went off in style at the Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney last night (September 16).
The long-awaited arrival of the 100 per cent agave tequila was marked in true Mexican fashion with sombreros, nachos and Margaritas doing the rounds. Music by The Peter Dickson Duo and DJ Dan Copping got the crowd dancing and Cazadores global brand ambassador, Magally Franco, impressed the group with her warmth and knowledge.
“I am having so much fun,” she said of the launch. “It is such a great way to introduce Cazadores to Australia.”
One of the world’s most popular tequilas, Cazadores is available in three varieties — Blanco, Reposado and Aòejo — all of which were on hand for guests to sample.
The overall reaction from the crowd was that it was a welcome introduction to the Australian market.
“I thought the Reposado was a perfect balance of old and new, with subtle notes of vanilla and pear with a smooth, long finish — truly a remarkable reposado,” said Ginger bar manager, Gerard McAlpine.
The range has won multiple awards over the years, including best tasting tequila in the 2007 International Spirits Challenge in London for Cazadores Aòejo.
