Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has announced a shake-up to its board with a further appointment expected early next year.

Jillian Broadbent has resigned as a non-executive director and will officially end her tenure on December 31.

She has served on the CCA board since February 1999.

In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), the company said it expected to appoint a new female director in the first quarter of 2011.

“Jillian has brought to our board the benefit of her significant commercial, risk management and treasury experience and has made an enormous contribution to CCA over the period as a director. We will miss her,” said CCA chairman David Gonski.

In November CCA appointed Tony Froggatt to the board as a non-executive director, effective December 1.

Despite speculation as to who will succeed CCA's long-serving chief executive, Terry Davis, he now looks set to remain at the helm for at least another year.
