Brisbane’s Chalk Hotel will showcase the work of a Sydney fashion designer at this week’s Tailor Made Thursday.

Launched in March, Tailor Made Thursday promotes up and coming designers in a series of free fashion shows, along with live music and DJs. Tomorrow night’s event features designs from Smooche Boutique in Manly.

“It’s the first time we’ve been involved with the Chalk Hotel, but we are very excited about it,” said Smooche Boutique proprietor, Gayle Broad.

Featuring designs from their signature ‘Smooche’ range as well as the newly launched ‘Suave’ range for men, Broad said she hopes the parade will expose the label a wider group of Brisbanites.

“The public reaction has been fantastic, especially from the local designers and stores who have eagerly jumped on board,” said Chalk Hotel marketing and PR manager, Dana Ryan. “The audience loves the mix of dance, fashion and great music. It’s an energetic and inspirational event”.

Tailor Made Thursdays start at 9:00pm in the Dust Cocktail Bar at the Chalk Hotel.
