Chambord will continue to drive its association with fashion as the exclusive alcohol partner and bar sponsor of the upcoming Fashion Weekend Sydney (FWS) event.

Commencing Thursday (May 14) at the Royal Hall of Industries at Moore Park, FDW is a ticketed event for consumers that builds on the popularity of the trade-only Rosemont Australia Fashion Week.

FWS will include the city’s largest designer sale and catwalk shows featuring the designs of Alex Perry, Nicola Finetti, Bec & Bridge and other prominent Australian designers. It will also feature a VIP Opening Night event hosted by Chambord and a private Chambord Bar.

Chambord brand manager Kate Mansour said the sponsorship activity reflected the strong connection between Chambord consumers and fashion.

“Fashion Weekend provides the opportunity to engage directly with 12,000 target consumers within a relevant environment,” she said. “The Chambord Bar has been custom built and our focus over the three-day event is to drive consumer engagement by providing a memorable brand experience.

“This is the second year for Fashion Weekend and with ticket sales up 35 per cent compared with last year, it’s shaping up to be a great event,” she said.

Chambord’s involvement in FWS followed the launch in 2008 of the Chambord Shine Awards. The awards were developed to help emerging fashion designers achieve greater recognition within their own industry and consumers and to support the Australian fashion industry.

Chambord is distributed in Australia by Brown-Forman.
