An independent charity that helps educate orphans in Rwanda is seeking alcohol sponsors to support a September fundraiser at Hugos Lounge.

The event will see hundreds of professionals from the Sydney metropolitan area converge at the popular Kings Cross nightclub on September 5 for an evening of live entertainment hosted by John Gatfield of Sky News.

Manufacturers, distributors or retailers interested in supporting the event can contact Sal Conway on 0400 622 622 or email info@roarcharity.org.

Established in 2005, ROAR (Rwandan Orphans Assistance Response) has raised thousands of dollars for chairty though a variety of high-profile parties, auctions and fashion shows.

The central African nation of Rwanda is scarred by decades of civil war and an intertribal genocide that saw 800,000 people killed over a 100-day period in 1994. The killings created a generation of orphans and immense challenges as a new government and international donors struggle to house, school and feed them.
