Claymore Wines has signed a three-season deal with English soccer giants Liverpool FC.

The deal will see Claymore and Liverpool launch a brand new wine club product, which will be available in time for Christmas. Both parties will also work together on the upcoming Liverpool FC Legends game in January 2016.

Anura Nitchingham, the founder of Claymore Wines, said: "Claymore’s relationship with Liverpool FC runs deep – having spent many years in Liverpool I’m proud to say I’m a fan. Whether it’s football or wine, passion is the key and I’m sure there will be a successful meeting of minds through our partnership with the Club.”

Claymore Wines already produces three Liverpool FC wines; 2013 YNWA “The Boot Room” Shiraz, 2014 You’ll Never Walk Alone Grenache Shiraz Mataro and the 2015 You’ll Never Walk Alone Sauvignon Blanc, all of which are produced in Adelaide’s Clare Valley vineyards.

Billy Hogan, Liverpool FC’s chief commercial officer, added: "Our relationship with Claymore Wines began at our pre-season tour this year and I’m delighted to welcome them on board for the next three seasons.

"Our fanbase is so strong in Australia and working with Claymore Wines will enable those fans to enjoy their passion for football in a brand new way. We’re all really looking forward to great activity for our Australian fans and a fruitful relationship with our partner."
