CrownBet and ClubsNSW have signed an agreement that will see James Packer’s company provide digital wagering services for 1200 clubs in New South Wales.
ClubsNSW said that CrownBet “clearly beat Australia’s largest wagering providers” following an extensive wagering review and tender process.
ClubsNSW CEO Anthony Ball said: “More than 90 per cent of clubs have been losing money on their TAB facilities in recent years as more and more people switch to online wagering.
“Our arrangement with CrownBet will ensure all NSW clubs get their fair share from digital bets and will help ensure the industry’s long-term viability. Small and regional clubs will be the biggest winners.”
Part of the agreement will see CrownBet integrate its CrownBet Rewards program into club loyalty schemes, with club members able to earn and redeem points in venue restaurants, cafés and over the bar.
“We’re thrilled to receive this ground-breaking endorsement from ClubsNSW. Our plan is to change the entire wagering experience for the benefit of their members and guests,” CrownBet CEO Matt Tripp said.
“We’re going to offer a world-class digital wagering experience for punters in clubs right across NSW.”
It is believed that the deal will also see CrownBet create an app for ClubsNSW members and be able to install cash-out machines in venues.
