Coca-Cola to re-launch Mother in 500ml can with double energy kick
Next month Coca-Cola will re-launch a stronger reformulated Mother energy drink which “tastes nothing like the old one” in a re-designed 500ml can to replace the current shot can and glass bottle.
The flavour of Mother has been changed following negative consumer feedback, with Coca-Cola admitting last week “it got the taste wrong”.
Coca-Cola has confirmed the new Mother will be available on-premise, with a focus on off-premise.
“New Mother, launching in early July this year, will taste nothing like the old one and will deliver double the energy kick – making it the most potent energy drink in Australia,” a Coca-Cola spokesperson said. “The reformulated Mother will hit shelves with a multi-million dollar marketing campaign targeted at red-blooded 18-34 year-old Australian men. The campaign will include all new creative and a multi channel approach and is expected to be this year’s ‘Mother of all Relaunches’.”
