Sydney’s Coogee Bay Hotel presented the proceeds of its annual golf day to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Randwick on Wednesday (Apr 1), with more than $125,000 donated to the cause.

It marks the 11th year the pub hotel has fundraised for the hospital, which is collected through a golf day that each year brings together many different sides of the hospitality business.

Beverage, equipment and food suppliers, and other hoteliers join in on the big day, all in the name of charity.

The long-term relationship between the hotel and the hospital has seen well over $1 million go toward a number of projects, with hospital head Les White saying it had made a huge difference to their operation.

Coogee Bay Hotel general manager Tony Williams said they look forward to working with the hospital on further new initiatives.
