Corona Extra is touring American musician Donavon Frankenreiter to 33 pubs around Australia in a continuation of its music and surfing-based marketing initiative, La Casa Artist Residency.

Launched by Corona in September last year, La Casa Artist Residency aims to bring together surfers, musicians, and creative minds to pursue their creativity in a Corona-inspired setting.

The idyllic beach house situated in Hawaii is equipped with an in-house recording studio, art room and world class surf-break.

"Following Donavon's stay at the La Casa Artist Residency earlier this year, we decided it would be great to take him on the road and share a bit of the La Casa magic with Corona drinkers around the country," said Todd Atkinson, Corona Extra marketing manager.

"This tour will see us partnering with 33 of Australia's most iconic hotels and we're really grateful for their support in making this happen."

Atkinson said the pubs hosting Frankenreiter are some of the country's top live music venues that draw in Corona's target market of 24-29 year old males.

Frankenreiter (pictured), the surfing, mustachioed troubadour, is known for his positive outlook and easy folk sounds. He recently released his fifth full-length album, Start Livin'.

Having kicked off on the weekend in Margaret River, WA, the tour will wind up in Byron Bay in early March with a special La Casa show featuring Frankenreiter alongside other La Casa artists.
