A pub in country Victoria is taking the internet by storm after offering naming rights as part of a crowd-funding campaign.

The Tatura Hotel is hoping to raise funds to complete its restorations and owner Bugs Ryan is offering everyone the chance to become part of his beloved pub.

"We need a hand finishing the place off," said Ryan. "We’re about $65,000 short of what we need to get our guest rooms up to standard, fix the balcony and replace some outdoor play equipment for the local kiddies. We’re ready to pull out all the stops and open this up to Australia to lend a hand."

In return for contributions, Ryan will name parts of his pub in the contributor's honour; the greater the contribution, the greater the honour.

The lovable larrikin said: "We want you, the internet, to make the Tatura Hotel the best pub in all of Tatura. In return for your generosity we'll shamelessly name things in your honour."

Ryan added: "We'll pretty much name anything in your honour. Even a coaster."

Other possible naming rights include the pub's chicken parmi, the pool table and even a bar stool.

Since joining the crowd-funding site Indiegogo.com on Wednesday the pub has raised over $18,000, with a number of items including bar stools, pokie machine and men's toilet already sold out.

Nearly 300 people have donated to the pub's cause, with 38 days left on the crowdfunding website.
