The 2013 vintage of Crown Lager’s Ambassador will be released on November 11, marking the sixth edition of the luxury beer.

Designed for cellaring, Crown Ambassador is packaged by hand and individually numbered, and will feature a limited run of 9000 Champagne-style bottles.

First launched in 2008, Crown’s master brewer, Tulley Hadley, has altered the brewing process slightly for the 2013 release, introducing more hops and a longer ageing process.

“To balance the intense malty character of this year’s all-malt brew we have added one third more hops compared to last year to increase the presence of the hop character on the palate,” he said.

“Each vintage of Crown Ambassador has different nuances and it’s something that we’re really proud of. We haven’t used any brand new oak barrels this year, so we expect the used barrels to give us a smoother, more subtle oak character that will taste more vanilla than last year’s.”

The 2013 Crown Ambassador will be available for a limited time only from Monday 11 November and has an RRP of $89.99 per bottle.
