Crown Glasswarel has become a one-stop tabletop shop following the acquisition of cutlery supplier Oneida Australia by McPherson’s Consumer Products (MCP), the parent company of Crown Commercial.

The deal bolsters Crown’s food service portfolio with a number of brands, including Stanley Rogers, Duraceram, Sant’ Andrea, Viners, Schönwald and Wedgewood, and makes MCP the largest supplier of cutlery in Australia.

“We believe the food service marketplace can really benefit by the extension of our range to a full tabletop offering, with supply consistency, competitive pricing and convenience,” said Crown general manager, Andrew Luttrell.

“The ‘one-stop tabletop shop’ is a strategy we have been particularly careful in putting together to ensure those brands included have the appropriate pedigree, quality, longevity and respect to complement our existing portfolio,” he said.

The Oneida operations and brands came under the MCP umbrella on March 1.
