The second vintage of the Crown Ambassador Reserve Lager was launched today (Apr 8) during an exclusive lunch at two-hatted Sydney restaurant Becasse.

Following its successful launch in 2008, Crown Ambassador Reserve 2009 is currently underway, with only 6000 individually numbered bottles to be publicly released in August.

The first bottle of the limited-edition lager will be sent to the cellars of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, following the precedent set by the 2008 Crown Ambassador Reserve.

A welcome addition to the Crown family, the Crown Ambassador Reserve has pioneered a new luxury style of beer in the Australian market.

Master Brewer John Cozens took the fortunate group through a vertical tasting, providing an opportunity to compare first-hand how the 2009 vintage will differ to the 2008 brew.

Becasse chef, Justin North, was also on-hand to guide guests through the specially designed menu created to complement the luxury lager.
