Victorian boutique wine distributor Crush Wines has signed on as a supporting partner for the Victorian Opera.

Crush Wines has previously established itself in the arts and music scene through its support of the 2013 Melbourne Music Week, also recently signing a three-year contract as the official wine partner of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

“We are delighted to announce this new, three-year partnership with a locally run company that specialises in a variety of fine wines produced in the state,” said Andrew Snell, managing director of Victorian Opera.

Crush Wines managing director Matt Schmidt said that as a boutique wine distributor, the company believes strongly in supporting community events, "whether it’s at an opening soiree for La traviata or in the stands of the Formula 1 Grand Prix".

"We firmly believe it is people that bring our wines to life, be they staff, consumers or winegrowers. The same can be said about opera; an inspiring experience between audiences and performers," said Schmidt.
