The Star will host some of Sydney’s finest bartenders and plenty of heads filled with booze – in the form of the iconic skull-shaped vodka – at the Crystal Head Vodka Cocktail Competition 2013.
The event, hosted by Crystal Head Vodka in conjunction with bars&clubs magazine and Australian Hotelier, will feature cocktails put together by eight hand-chosen bartenders.
Actor Dan Aykroyd – of Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters fame, and founder of Crystal Head Vodka – will be on hand to judge the concoctions, with the creator of the winning libation having their cocktail served at this year’s 20th Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA), to be held at Luna Park on the 23rd of October.
The clarity and smoothness of Crystal Head, made with no preservatives or addatives and filtered through semi-precious diamonds, makes it perfect for cocktails – something the competition will showcase.
The Crystal Head Vodka Cocktail Competition will kick off from 3.30pm on Thursday the 10th of October at The Star.
