Carlton United Brewers (CUB) will be launching new variants of both the Strongbow and Bulmers cider brands in the coming months.
Just in time for summer, CUB is rolling out its new Strongbow Summer Fruits range, which will be available in three different flavours – Strongbow Apple Cider with Strawberry and Kiwi, Strongbow Apple Cider with Mango and Passionfruit, and Strongbow Pear Cider with Raspberry and Strawberry.
While the new flavours will be available as of September, there will be some key on-premise activity around the new range starting in October to build on Strongbow's music festival partnerships.
The brand has had a strong association with music festivals for the past three years. An activation, in July this year saw the brand sail a 37ft wooden boat, the SS Strongbow, to the Splendour in the Grass festival to serve as a centrepiece for partygoers.
Strongbow plans to continue to deliver activations, and make its ciders available, at over 25 music festivals this summer.
Meanwhile, Bulmers will be launching a new addition to its range, Bulmers Ginger, in mid-September. It is described as a blend of Bulmers Original with real fermented ginger and a hint of lemon that delivers a refreshing cider with a hefty ginger bite.
As part of the launch Bulmers will be hosting a launch party at The Standard in Sydney on September 18. The brand has also developed a marketing campaign for the new variant with the tagline 'Proud to be Ginger', which is being driven online through its Facebook page.
So are any of there ciders actually made from Australian apples? Or is it all imported Chinese concentrate /artificial flavours?
Why dont they support Australian farmers? Profits? Would love to know, probably wont buy another one till I find out.
