De Bortoli Wines chief winemaker, Steve Webber, showcased some of the latest releases to come out of De Bortoli’s Yarra Valley vineyards during a tasting and lunch at Bilsons restaurant in Sydney on Wednesday (16 Feb).

Attending trade and media tasted several new release wines, including the latest release in De Bortoli’s La Boheme range, Act 3 – Pinot Gris and Friends, along with the 2008 Riorret Viggers Vineyard Pinot Noir, and the soon to be released Bellariva range, which contains a unique blend of grape varieties inspired by Mediterranean-style wines.

Webber is well-known for his love of working with pinot noir, however, he predicted that pinot gris has the potential to surge ahead in terms of popularity, as do multi-varietal wines such as De Bortoli’s La Boheme and Bellarive ranges.
