De Bortoli Wines has released William's Hand Crafted Pilsener, a new beer under its William Bull Brewery beer label.

De Bortoli says the Pilsener is a classic European style of beer made with top Australian pilsener and wheat malt that have been specially selected to provide a solid malt backbone.

German Carapils and acidulated malt have also been used to provide further complexity to the palate.

"William's Pilsener is a complex, malty beer, bright golden in colour and well-hopped in traditional European Pilsener style," said head brewer, Amanda Oades.

"William's currently occupies a great position within the rapidly growing and ever changing Australian beer market. As the craft beer category continues to grow, Australian beer drinkers are becoming increasingly more engaged with the craft industry and the stories of the brands within it. Adding William's Pilsener to the portfolio provides De Bortoli with the opportunity to further grow our offering to the consumer and to add value to the existing range."

William's Hand Crafted Pilsener is now available alongside William's Pale Ale and William's Premium Lager.

It has an RRP of $65 per carton.
