Sydney’s wine-lovers have a lot to look forward to in October, when Decanter World Wine Awards host their very first Australian tasting at Glass Brasserie and Wine Bar.
From October 9 – 22, Glass will make room on their expansive wine list of over 800 drops to include 30 Decanter World Wine Awards winners which will be available to enjoy by the glass.
The tasting in Sydney is part of a global series, with parallel events taking place at Selfridge’s in London and Pudao: The Wine Way in Singapore.
Head sommelier at Glass, Kim Bickley, said the event offered a fantastic opportunity for Australian wine lovers experience top-notch wines.
"I am ecstatic to have one of my favorite publications, Decanter, having their first ever Australian promotion here at Glass. It will be an exciting opportunity for our guests to try some of the wines judged the finest in the world, like Fraser Gallop’s Bordeaux-beating Margaret River red."
Glass will be the only venue in Australia pouring so many Decanter World Wine Award winners.
Launched in 2004, the Decanter World Wine Awards are the world’s largest and most prestigious wine competition, receiving 10,289 entries from around the globe.
