Global premium drinks distributor Drinksology Kirker Greer (DKG) has appointed Ryan McFarland as its new Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer amid global expansion plans.

The appointment of McFarland will help DKG, a pioneering company in the premium drinks industry, to achieve both its brand and geographic expansion strategies. McFarland, who most recently worked at Molson Coors Beverage Company as Growth and Innovation Director EMEA & APAC, brings a wealth of experience to the role that will support the organisation in expanding its global offering.

DKG brands are currently available in BWS and Dan Murphy’s, with plans to expand its presence in the Australian market. DKG will benefit from McFarland’s track record of strategic commercial growth initiatives within the global premium spirits industry.

“Coming from Northern Ireland myself, it has always been my ambition to take a Belfast-based business to scale globally and I believe DKG has a portfolio of exceptional brands to do this, backed with a solid innovation pipeline, passionate people and a world of untapped opportunity,” said McFarland.

“I am starting to develop a clear strategic direction for the brands on a global scale, with an immediate focus on the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. I look forward to executing that plan with not only the fantastic team DKG has already in place, but building that team too over the coming years.”
