A stalwart of the Sydney pub scene, the Woollahra Hotel, is being offered for sale after being in the same ownership for the past 19 years.

The hotel features Damien Pignolet’s award winning Bistro Moncur, bars, gaming and a bottle shop.

The upper level was recently converted to include casual dining with bar and verandah areas.

Knight Frank Hotels and Tourism Brokerage director Mike Wheatley will be handling the sale of the Woollahra Hotel.

“Following on from the unexpected passing of Dr Ron White who co-created and oversaw the modern operation, the partners have decided to sell the hotel by Expressions of Interest closing April 20, 2011,” said Wheatley.

Earlier this week co-owner of the Woollahra Hotel, Damien Pignolet, denied speculation that the pub’s owners were under bank pressure to sell due to mounting debt.

The Royal Oak in Double Bay is also on the market.
