Canberra’s Eden Road Wines has announced it will begin direct distribution of its wines on April 1, ending a longstanding association with the Bibendum Wine Co.

Bibendum has been distributing the brand for the last three years across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Eden Road’s new national sales manager, Ralph Chalmers, said the changed distribution arrangements mark a significant milestone for the company and will ensure future growth through the direct management of customers.

“The Bibendum Wine Co. has been a strong ambassador for the Eden Road brand,” he said.

“The new distribution model from April 1 will naturally result in a stronger focus by Eden Road on the heart of its brand experience as we directly manage trade relationships in the marketplace.”

Bibendum Wine Company national sales manager Stuart Northey said: “Bibendum is proud of our accomplishments developing the Eden Road brand to the stage where Eden Road is now fully prepared to directly represent its wines in the market.”
