Entries are now open for the 2018 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards, Australia’s only national spirits competition which focuses on Australian-manufactured spirits.

The awards provide Australia’s growing number of distillers with an essential benchmarking opportunity and give Australia’s new generation of distillers the opportunity to be judged alongside the country’s well established spirits and liqueur producers.

The awards will see up to 11 Champion Trophies awarded including Whisky, Gin, Vodka, Brand, Rum, Liqueur, Alternative Spirit and Aromatic Bitters.

Distillers will also have the opportunity to enter Small Batch and Micro Batch Spirits for two more Champion Trophies. Those distillers with three or more entries may be eligible for the coveted Champion Australian Distiller award.

Last year’s saw a tie for Champion Australian Distiller with Old Young’s and Hoochery Distillery both being awarded the top gong.

In 2017 there were 240 entries from nearly 70 producers and organisers are hopeful that this year’s awards will see even more entries.

Producers can enter from now until Friday 23 February at the RASV website.
