Pernod Ricard Australia will once again be hosting the Australian leg of the Beefeater 24 Global Bartender Competition (GBC) and is inviting bartenders to get their entries in by August 15.

To enter the competition, bartenders need to create a classic cocktail using Beefeater Dry, and a second version using Beefeater 24. Bartenders will also be asked to create a story behind their two cocktail creations. [continued below]

The top 12 entries from NSW, VIC, WA and QLD will then battle it out in a national final, which will be judged by Tim Stones – Beefeater 24's global ambassador, Jamie Terrell – Pernod Ricard Australia on-premise strategy manager, and Ben Davidson, Pernod Ricard Australia spirits ambassador.

"This is a great opportunity for Australian bartenders to raise their profile on a world stage," said Davidson.

The winner of the Australian final will head over to the UK to compete in the global final on November 7, and if they are successful there, they will earn themselves an all expenses paid trip to Japan in 2014, where they will get a chance to learn more about Beefeater 24, as well as explore the local bartending scene.
