Some of Australia’s most renowned female winemakers will showcase their wares at Wine, Women and Song, a benefit concert to be held at Melbourne’s Federation Square tomorrow (September 4).

Conceived by Melbourne wine and networking events company V-Know, the event is a celebration of women, wine and opera.

Winemakers attending include Louisa Rose of Yalumba, Melissa Brown of Gemtree, Eliza Brown of All Saints, Geraldine McFaul of Stoniers, Sarah Fagan of De Bortoli, Emma Bowen of Bowen Estate, Samantha Connew of Wirra Wirra, Clare Halloran of TarraWarra, Fran Austin of Bay of Fires, Anna Pooley of Heemskerk, Sue Hodder of Wynns, Narelle King of Tar & Roses and Sarah Fletcher of Alta Vineyards.

Music will be provided by the Victorian Opera and sopranos Melanie Adams, Jessica Aszodi and Danielle Calder, who will “invoke the delights of drinking to the divine sounds of an operatic ensemble,” V-Know said in a statement.

Also on show will be fashion from top name designers Akira, Ann Demeulemeester, Haider Ackermann and more.
